WoD Beta: Nights Are Now Darker
A few days ago we were talking about the changes that will come to Walords of Draenor. A change that most of you were exciting about was about the nights in World of Warcraft. On the 1st of July 2014 Lead Game Designer Cory Stockton tweeted that the nights in World of Warcraft may get darker, a feature remembered with nostalgia by veterans. Your wish may come true!
Last night I logged in after downloading the latest build and I noticed something very familiar to me but a bit strange actually. You can probably guess what I’m talking about. Yep. Walords of Draenor night was actually darker.
After I saw that everything around me was darker I planned to explore more zones and here is what I found:
– the city of Stormwind was still bright out.
– Elwynn Forest and Redrige Mountains seemed to be darker like the old Vanilla nights.
The above zones are the one I found to be darker. I did traveled to different zones like Stranglethorn Vale, Badlands and all the way up to Eastern Plaguelands but all other zones looked the same as on live realms.
This is great news! Remember that this feature is just in early stage of testing and it might change dramatically but I am sure everyone will be pleased to see a major environment feature like this.
I uploaded some high resolution pictures taken by a fellow WoW player. Check out the gallery!
What about you? Do you like the darker nights?
